I would like to introduce ourselves to the readers of the NPEA online newsletter, we are Merle and Kathy Virgil from Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Merle worked for Fairway grocery stores for 32 years and managed the store here in Oskaloosa for 22 years. He retired 5 years ago and has taken up the hobby of restoring old Minneapolis Moline tractors with his brothers.
I still like to bake and decorate cakes for friends and relatives.
Our daughter, Rona, and her family live in Nevada, Iowa, where her husband Doug manages the Fairway store there. They have a son that will graduate in May and a daughter that is a sophomore.
We attend Two Timbers Church of Christ in Oskaloosa, Iowa. We have known Mike and Pat Sojka since their personal journey with Jesus Christ began. It has been a real blessing to see where that journey has taken them.
We feel strongly about the good work that NPEA is doing and support it monthly. We also support it through the church missions program. Church planting seems to be a wonderful way to introduce new people to the love that God has for them and it takes special people to work with those new plants. We hope that our support financially will help them to continue their good work.
We keep the work of NPEA in our prayers and pray that others will consider supporting them in anyway they can. May God bless you all.
