Darlene and I grew up in Cherokee, Iowa. We were both baptized there. We were married at the First Church of Christ (Christian) there in Cherokee in December 1952. After 4 years in the Navy I returned to Cherokee and was a refrigeration service engineer there and Darlene was our bookkeeper. We worked with the youth some and taught Sunday school and I served on the Board.
In 1970 we moved to Sioux City, Iowa and expanded into Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating. We joined the Morningside Church of Christ (Christian) where we continued to teach in youth groups and sunday school classes. I was an elder there for 35 years and I do much of the maintenance work at the church now.
We have supported church planting in Iowa for many yhears. Then when Mike Sojka introduced us to NPEA, shortly after he started with them in 2001, we felt they also needed much support. As a church we have supported NPEA ever since. We personally support them also and would highly recommend this mission to everyone, as new church plants are reaching more people for Christ than any other means. It appears evident that God is blessing the work that is being done there.
Our marching orders are to "make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all of my commandments." Matthew 28:19-20
