Mike Sojka

Mike Sojka has been the Assistant Director of the Northern Plains Evangelistic Association since April 1, 2001. This Association represents North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Manitoba. The mission of this ministry is to plant healthy, effective, reproducing churches in the mission fields of the United States of America.

NPEA planted North Point Christian Church in Spearfish, SD on Sept. 12th, 2004. The church became self supporting two years later. Then they planted White Water Christian Church in Laramie, WY on Sept. 14th, 2008. NPEA is currently working on planting the first Restoration Christian Church in the only state that does not have one, North Dakota! Bismarck/Mandan will be the location of the next church planting project.

Mike was a teacher and coach for 10 years (five at the high school level and five at the College, University level) before he entered the ministry. He received his first M.A. at the University of South Dakota and his second M.A. from Cincinnati Bible College & Seminary. Mike was also a minister (Cincinnati, OH; Long Island, NY) and church planter (Fargo, ND). He has been married for 30 years to Patricia Sojka and has two sons (Joshua 22, and Nathan 19), one daughter in law (Breanna Sojka, Josh's wife), and a grand baby on the way (due Feb. 2010).
